My Journey to Becoming His

I have a lot of passions in my life. To name a few, not in any specific order, my family, my God, languages, politics, rights for women, children, education, money, truth, religion and philosophy, beauty, order, service, people, changing the world, India, Fiji, fighting poverty, and I’m sure I could think of more. Because of this overload of passions I have, I find myself bouncing from one thing to another, wanting to do research and fight for rights of women, to trying to keep up on politics and making sense of what is true and what is fiction in that world, and so many other projects and ideas that I start only to get distracted by another very good cause.

I am coming to realize that all these passions and dreams I have in me I have for a reason, and one day I know I will do good things in these areas. I also am realizing I must first focus on Christ, and focus on turning my life completely, wholly, 100 percent towards Him. When I give my life to Him, I know I will be able to know what great plans He has for me and all my hopes and dreams. I know He can help me more perfectly live my life in a way that brings glory to Him and love to His people.

My goal now is to make it a DAILY EFFORT to come unto Christ. This blog is where I will discuss my journey. I hope you will join me in my journey, because (as people are one of my passions) I learn much better when I learn and grow with others, rather than just on my own. So please, be a part of this journey. Read, comment, consider the questions I’ll ask, encourage me and I’ll encourage you in this effort. Even if you don’t care to actually join me in this journey please feel free to read and comment (as long as we keep comments civil of course:)

Here I begin my journey, temporarily shifting my focus from all my other passions to make my number one focus the Savior. Will you come with me?

Questions to think about: (Feel free to comment!)

  • What are your passions, hopes and dreams?
  • How can focusing on coming to Christ help you with your hopes and dreams?
